Read to a Dog
Boost school-age reading ability by reading to a specially trained therapy dog. The Franklin Library hosts this special opportunity featuring dogs accompanied by their trained adult volunteers. Bring a favorite book or select one from the library’s collection and read to a furry friend. This is a free opportunity presented by the Franklin Community Library.

OctoberFEAST
Join us for our 3rd annual family-friendly OctoberFEAST food festival! Come and fill your plate with favorites from around the world: delicious Greek gyros, Egyptian falafel, Russian kielbasa, meat and vegetarian selections from Eritrea – and much more! Not so culinarily adventurous? Comfort food favorites like bratwurst and soft pretzels will also be available.
Once you’ve had your fill, take your kids to the children’s play area to jump in the bounce house, or step up to learn traditional Serbian dancing as a family!
If you time your visit right, you may catch the Hot City Jazz Band and join in some swing dancing. When you’re ready for round two, stop by the dessert booth for some delectable baklava or kourabiedes. A raffle and bookstore will also be part of the fun!
