Do you offer in-home pet sitting in Elk Grove?

Yes. Karla's Pet Care provides in-home pet sitting throughout Elk Grove and surrounding areas including Laguna, Wilton, Sacramento, and the Pocket neighborhood.

Is there a minimum number of visits for new clients?

Yes. There is a 3-visit minimum for all first-time clients. If you only need 1 or 2 visits, you will still be charged for 3 visits. This policy helps cover staffing and operational costs and ensures consistent care for your pets.

Do you offer a meet-and-greet before pet sitting begins?

Yes. One complimentary pre-sit visit is included for new clients. Any additional pre-sit visits beyond the first are charged at the regular visit rate.

Can you administer medication to my pet?

Yes. Karla's Pet Care offers medication administration as part of its services. All staff are trained under Karla Cano, a Registered Veterinary Technician, making this service especially well-suited for pets with ongoing medical needs.

What happens if my pet gets sick or injured during a visit?

If your pet becomes sick or injured, the sitter will take necessary measures including first aid when appropriate. For serious issues, your pet will be transported to your specified veterinarian. If your veterinarian is unavailable, the sitter may use an emergency clinic at their discretion.

How will I receive updates about my pet during visits?

After every visit, Karla's Pet Care sends photos and detailed care notes through the Time to Pet portal. Updates can be delivered by email or text based on your preference.

What is your cancellation policy?

48 hours notice is required for non-holiday reservations and 7 days notice for holiday reservations. Cancellations must be submitted by 8:00 PM to avoid fees. Late cancellations result in a charge of 50% of the invoice, and cancellations after services begin are charged at 100%.

Do you require a lockbox for home access?

Yes. Karla's Pet Care uses lockboxes as the preferred access method. You can purchase one through Karla's Pet Care for $20 or provide your own.
