The Importance of Spaying and Neutering Your Pets

Most of us have memories watching the Price is Right with Bob Barker telling us to remember to get your pets spayed and neutered and you know what?  He was right. There are actually a lot of benefits to spaying and neutering your pets, from helping population control to health and behavioral advantages.

Benefits:

  • Helps reduce overpopulation
  • Pets are likely to roam away from home
  • Risks of cancers, such as testicular, ovarian, prostate, and uterine are reduced
  • Increases chances of a longer, healthier life
  • In males it decreases aggressive behavior, bites, and spraying
